Porque el medio ambiente está en nuestros corazones: desde 2019 estamos identificando anualmente la huella de emisiones de CO² de ARTEBENE y ahora operamos como un negocio neutral para el clima. La huella de CO² indica la cantidad de emisiones de CO² causadas por una empresa en el transcurso de un año. En el caso de ARTEBENE, las fuentes de emisión tales como su flota de vehículos, generación de calor, consumo de energía y agua, logística de entradas y salidas, distancias de viaje de los empleados al trabajo, vuelos, cadena previa para la obtención de electricidad y agua, papel de oficina, eliminación de desechos, así como viajes en tren, han sido determinados y evaluados. Junto con ClimatePartner trabajamos en soluciones y acciones para evitar y reducir estas emisiones de CO² y convertirlas en proyectos individuales. Asumimos la responsabilidad de las emisiones inevitables, como los envíos, el servicio prestado por nuestros profesionales de ventas, como también nuestra eliminación de residuos y los compensamos contribuyendo a un proyecto de protección del clima.

What is a climate protection project?

Climate protection projects are projects that include additional climate protection measures and thus make a measurable contribution to reducing CO2 in the atmosphere. They combat global warming and demonstrably save greenhouse gases. In addition, they promote sustainable development in the project countries and support other goals such as combating poverty and hunger, improving drinking water, expanding local infrastructure, spreading clean and affordable energy, and many more.

Our climate protection project

To compensate for our unavoidable emissions, we have decided to support the wind energy project in the Indian state of Gujarat on the west coast in the district of Kutch. 14 wind turbines from the manufacturer Vestas produce 64,400 megawatt hours of sustainable electricity per year. This replaces electricity from fossil fuels, which are predominant in the electricity mix, with renewable energy.

The project also promotes economic and social development in the region. In addition to a reliable source of energy, the wind farm ensures long-term jobs for the local people. Our project partners are creating a liveable infrastructure there by currently building a water tank as well as a medical facility to supply the inhabitants. In addition, they are supporting the inhabitants in planting seedlings that they can use for self-sufficiency in the future.

Affordable and clean energy

The project generates 64,400 MWh of clean electricity annually and increases the share of renewable energy sources in India's electricity mix.

Decent work

The project creates jobs for the local population.

Climate protection measures

The project saves approximately 61,360 tonnes of CO2 per year.

WE TAKE CLIMATE ACTION

As part of the organisation Leaders for Climate Action, we fight against climate change and for a sustainable world together with many other well-known brands. Leaders for Climate Action is an association of more than 300 of the leading digital entrepreneurs in Germany and increasingly in Europe. As a supporter of the initiative, ARTEBENE has committed itself to the Green Pledge and is thus actively committed to climate protection, both entrepreneurially and personally.

ARTEBENE IS NOW SENDING CO2 NEUTRAL VIA DPD

Due to the cooperation with the parcel service provider DPD ARTEBENE sets another example regarding environmental consciousness: a CO2- neutral shipment of all parcels.

With the so-called "Total Zero Principle" the CO2-emission should be reduced to a minimum by selective measures and unnecessary consumption should be avoided. As one of the first parcel service providers DPD is also shipping CO2 neutral globally by July 2012 - completely without extra costs for the customer. Thus, around 500.000 tons CO2 can be avoided per year.
