The new theme world Artwork is inspired by colour field painting in abstract expressionism. The term colour field painting describes an abstract style of art that arose in the USA of the fifties. Characteristic for this style are large, homogeneously filled colour fields without sharp contours which partly blend into other colour fields and create contrasts between the colours. The focus is on the emotional power and arrangement of the colours. Bright colour fields are complemented by alienated rose petals, resulting in a modern look with a special appeal for spring.
