Porque el medio ambiente está en nuestros corazones: desde 2019 estamos identificando anualmente la huella de emisiones de CO² de ARTEBENE y ahora operamos como un empresa que contribuya económicamente a la protección del clima. La huella de CO² indica la cantidad de emisiones de CO² causadas por una empresa en el transcurso de un año. En el caso de ARTEBENE, las fuentes de emisión tales como su flota de vehículos, generación de calor, consumo de energía y agua, logística de entradas y salidas, distancias de viaje de los empleados al trabajo, vuelos, cadena previa para la obtención de electricidad y agua, papel de oficina, eliminación de desechos, así como viajes en tren, han sido determinados y evaluados. Junto con ClimatePartner trabajamos en soluciones y acciones para evitar y reducir estas emisiones de CO² y convertirlas en proyectos individuales. Asumimos la responsabilidad de las emisiones inevitables, como los envíos, el servicio prestado por nuestros profesionales de ventas, como también nuestra eliminación de residuos y los compensamos contribuyendo a un proyecto de protección del clima.

What is a climate protection project?

Climate protection projects are projects that include additional climate protection measures and thus make a measurable contribution to reducing CO2 in the atmosphere. They combat global warming and demonstrably save greenhouse gases. In addition, they promote sustainable development in the project countries and support other goals such as combating poverty and hunger, improving drinking water, expanding local infrastructure, spreading clean and affordable energy, and many more.

Our climate protection project

Women in rural India are driving the transition to clean energy!

The project gives micro-entrepreneurs in rural India access to microloans for solar lights and water filters and creates supply chains in remote regions. The women use the new products for business (e.g. solar lights to extend the opening hours of a shop) and private use (e.g. to provide their families with clean drinking water). With the money saved on fuel, the women can pay back the loans. They meet regularly in self-help groups to support each other and ensure that everyone is satisfied with the products and uses them. Each group has a leader who takes care of customer service in case products need to be serviced or repaired. Some women work as ‘clean energy demonstrators’ and educate people in the neighbouring villages about the benefits of the new products. In this way, they enable even more women to take the first step on the road to clean energy.

More energy-efficient products such as solar lamps and water filters significantly reduce the need for fuel. The money saved can help to improve living conditions.

Clean water and sanitary facilities

The water filters in this project give thousands of households safe access to clean drinking water.

Affordable and clean energy

Microenergy Credits projects promote access to clean energy by offering efficient energy products at an affordable price.

Decent work and economic growth

By September 2023, 68 people had been employed in the project, including 18 women and 50 men.

Climate protection measures

The project saves around 406,840 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.

ARTEBENE IS NOW SENDING CO2 NEUTRAL VIA DPD

Due to the cooperation with the parcel service provider DPD ARTEBENE sets another example regarding environmental consciousness: a CO2- neutral shipment of all parcels.

With the so-called "Total Zero Principle" the CO2-emission should be reduced to a minimum by selective measures and unnecessary consumption should be avoided. As one of the first parcel service providers DPD is also shipping CO2 neutral globally by July 2012 - completely without extra costs for the customer. Thus, around 500.000 tons CO2 can be avoided per year.
